Thank you for your service to our country. We are honored to help you continue your education and provide you with the resources necessary to succeed.

As one of Oregon’s military-friendly nursing schools, Sumner College is approved by the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs State Approving Agency. We encourage you to explore the educational benefits available to you through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans benefits may include payment for courses, books, tutoring and housing allowance. In some circumstances, benefits may be transferred to a dependent. Additional information regarding educational benefits can be found at https://www.va.gov/education/  or by calling 1-888-442-4551

To begin processing your benefits, we require the following information:

  • Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
  • All post-secondary transcripts

If you are an Oregon resident, you may be eligible to receive veterans benefits in Oregon through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. For eligibility and application information please visit the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs Educational Aid Program.

Our Director of Student and Financial Services, Jodi Ruybal, is our authorized Certifying Official. Please do not hesitate to contact our financial aid department at FAid@SumnerCollege.edu  with any questions regarding our programs and the application process.

Thank you again for your service to our country, and we look forward to helping you achieve your educational goals.
