Celebrating Sumner Graduates | Meet Derek

At Sumner College, we like to celebrate our graduates. Derek is a recent Medical Assisting grad. He shares his story, “Before enrolling at Sumner College, I was unemployed during the pandemic. I have always had a passion for the healthcare field, so after a break, I chose to get back in to it and attend Sumner College’s Medical Assisting program.  I knew of Sumner because my cousin and was in their Practical Nursing program and had a successful experience there and she encouraged me to enroll.  Sumner College’s MA program is exceptional!  I can’t say enough about their MA program director, Gabby Carillo!  She is a wonderful instructor!” Congratulations on this achievement Derek!
