Career Services
The focus of our Student & Career Services department is to provide support, encouragement, and resources to assist current students and alumni in achieving their career goals. By creating a campus community focused on student success, we offer resources and tools to ensure you have an enriching, supportive, and successful experience during your time at Sumner College.
As your academic journey ends, our Career Services Department will work closely with you to obtain employment in your field of study through employer and community partnerships.
Employer Career Fairs: We host on-campus career fairs which offer students the opportunity to connect one on one with local healthcare organizations.
Sumner College Edge: This online platform allows employers to post jobs and view student resumes. Active students and graduates can create and update their e-portfolio, a tool to assist graduates in landing their Dream job.
Student Housing: Sumner College has partnered with TMG Management Company to provide student housing exclusively for Sumner College students. These beautiful townhomes are fully furnished and located in a safe neighborhood close to the campus. Rent includes all utilities, cable and wifi. If you are interested in student housing, please contact our Student Services Department.
Sumner College Medical Club: Offers a place to exchange ideas, give back to our community, and encourage student support. Activities include community volunteer opportunities, development of teamwork and leadership skills, awareness of current trends affecting healthcare.
Professional Development Workshops: We offer workshops that support career development through networking, job searching strategies, social media presence and interviewing skills.
Survival Jobs: We partner with local employers to secure part-time employment opportunities for our students while attending school.
We also provide resources for tutoring, mentoring, and promote student recognition through our quarterly Sumner College Scholarship Program.

Hire Our Graduates
Sumner College is always looking for employers interested in hiring our graduates and clinical partnerships for our students. We offer an Associate Degree in Nursing Program (RN), and Practical Nursing Program (LPN), and a Medical Assisting Program (MA), and a Bachelor’s In Nursing Program (RN to BSN).
