#Hiring – Human Resource Manager

Position: Human Resource Manager

Supervisor: Controller

Job Summary: The Human Resource Manager ensures company policies, programs, and practices are in compliance with state and federal regulations. This position also conducts onboarding and is responsible for maintaining all employee files.


  • Maintain employee health benefits programs including open enrollment, enrollments and cancellations, and COBRA administration
  • Maintain employee files and records
  • Advise management on best practices and employment law
  • Conduct employee onboarding: new hire paperwork, email and payroll setup, and schedule orientation
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Promptly respond to unemployment claims and appeals if necessary
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with the Oregon Family Leave Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Workers’ Compensation Claims, and the American with Disabilities Act
  • Maintain Employee Handbook
  • Recruit new employees
  • Available to meet with employees to discuss questions and concerns
  • Enter student payments and bills into QuickBooks
  • Organize reviews and evaluations of staff and faculty
  • Track faculty professional and in-service development programs
  • Monitor ADP to ensure hours are entered accurately
  • Update and create internal forms
  • Assist Controller with applying financial aid to student accounts
  • Other duties as assigned by Controller


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource a plus
  • Two or more years of experience in post-secondary education setting preferred
  • Two or more years in a Human Resource role
