Alyssa’s Story
“Before enrolling at Sumner College I was taking pre-requisites in nursing at another school, and working as a nanny for a few families. I enjoyed working as a nanny because since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a nurse. I truly enjoy helping others, and always strive to make a difference in their lives. I was really happy I was accepted at Sumner College’s ADN program because the location was convenient, the application didn’t look solely at previous courses taken, or the GPA earned. I gained many great friends during my time at Sumner College, and had great teachers who were very kind, patient, and gave me the hands on experience! One day I would like to continue my education as a BSN and work in Pediatrics.”
Alyssa is currently a RN at Clark County Jail
