Registered Nurse
Oregon State Hospital
Graduate, Associate Degree in Nursing Program
“I chose Sumner College because the program was the best fit for my personality and learning style.”
Anne’s Story
Anne moved to the United States from Denmark in 2002 and has lived in the Portland area for the past 10 years. Prior to her acceptance at Sumner College, Anne was a private in-home caregiver where she provided end-of-life care for many patients. She wanted to become a registered nurse to help others feel better.
Anne chose Sumner College because the program was the best fit for her personality and learning style. Since completing the ADN program, Anne knew she made the right choice. “I have enjoyed working as a team and all of the support we give each other as students. I am a curious person and the instructors have always supported that. I will now be able to see people get better.”
Anne is looking forward to all of the opportunities she will have in the future, as well as continuing her education. She is excited about her new position as a registered nurse at the Oregon State Hospital.
