“I wanted to be a good role model for my kids and show them I could do this!”
Marta’s Story
Prior to enrolling at Sumner College, Marta was working as an Esthetician. She always had a strong interest in skin care and dermatology, but was looking for a way to do more. She decided to pursue her education through Sumner so she could advance in her career. She stated, “I love skin and hope to have the knowledge as a nurse to continue working with skin care.” She is also very motivated by her family, stating “I wanted to be a good role model for my kids and show them I could do this!”
After completing her studies, Marta knew she made the right decision to attend Sumner. “I got my LPN through Sumner and I loved it! The instructors were all great, and took the time to assist me in whatever I needed.” She feels validated knowing that her education will take her closer to her career goals.
Marta is currently working as an LPN at SpringRidge at Charbonneau. She is also continuing her education with Sumner College to become a registered nurse. She has demonstrated hard work and determination during her time at Sumner College and has a very bright future ahead of her!
